Our vote for best Sunday brunch on Maui goes to the brunch at the Grand Wailea. We went to brunch both there and at the Molokini Terrace at the Makena Resort, our previous favorite, during our visit. Grand Wailea has Makena beat. They kept bringing out generous platters of ahi and hamachi sashimi, while Makena offered only seared Marlin–good but no match. Everything we sampled was delicious. The setting is beautiful, the open-air Grand Dining Room overlooking Wailea Beach. It’s great food plus its location, an easy walk from Wailea locations, put it over the top.
What Readers Have to Say
“I’m sure that you’ve heard this a thousand times before, but I wanted to thank you for your fantastic book; a perfect blend of instruction, tips, and humor! My fiance and I just returned from 8 days on the Big island, in which we now need a vacation to recover from our vacation! We expected to lounge on the beach and relax; no, no, no. After purchasing your book (for the steal of a deal of under $15), we felt that we would be wasting time if we weren’t continuously hiking a trail, or discovering and spelunking one of the lava tubes. Your book is right on and a necessity for exploring the Big Island.”
