Though part of Po‘ipu Kai, it’s more upscale than the rest of the complex. The resort was built in two phases (the older section—buildings 1 through 5—is described under Po‘ipu Kai Resort). Only buildings 6–9 (phase II) are described here. Units from both phases share the pools and spas. Condos are large with amenities such as granite counters, Jacuzzi tubs with separate showers in master baths and most have higher-end furniture. The only thing lacking here is a view, but these are among the nicer condos on the south shore. However, you may hear some road noise, and you’re a good distance from the beach. 2/2 units (1,340 sq. ft.) are $175–$350, 3/3 units (1,600 sq. ft.) are $325–$475, 4/3 or 4/4 units (1,800 sq. ft.) are $325–$475. 3-night minimum from first agent listed. Second agent listed has similar pricing.

What Readers Have to Say

“My brother and I went to Maui… We had 3 copies: the iPhone version on iPad and iPhone, plus one on the kindle, which went with us in the car in a waterproof bag. What can I say? Without your guide, our holiday would not have been even half as good… After many lovely scenic stops… went straight to the falls at the Akelele bridge. This was the most magic moment of the whole week: just the two of us there, the wonderful 50-ft falls: idyllic and worth the cost of the guidebook alone. Your irreverence kept us amused, your knowledge kept us informed, and without your constant companionship, we would either never have had the confidence to do the things we did, or would simply have never known they were there to do in the first place. Thanks so much for making our trip.”
