This 25-acre condo resort is run like a hotel and was completed in 2017, but opened in phases beginning in 2011. Only some units are owned while the rest remain part of the vacation rental pool. Furnishings are all similar and expensively outfitted with granite counters, Wolf appliances and everything you could need in the kitchen. The doors to the lanai slide open into the walls in corner 2- to 4-bedroom units, so the square footages we list include the lanai on those units. The 1- to 4-bedroom units are very generously sized to begin with, so with the added outdoor living space you have a more-than-comfortable room. The bathrooms are very large, most with separate, deep soaking tubs and walk-in showers. Even the studios are comfortable with extra sofabed, kitchenette, full-size washer/dryer but without granite counters or Wolf appliances and just walk-in showers in baths.

Buildings 6 and 7 surround the adult pool with its waterfall. The largest, 350,000-gallon saline meandering pool (one of the largest on the island) takes up much of the courtyard space with its waterfalls, bridges, islands and waterslides. Though near the ocean, there is no beach fronting the resort, only a rocky coastline. Buildings 6, 7, 8 and 10 are closest to the ocean and most likely to have an unobstructed view of it. Also on the property are fire pits, soccer field, basketball court, volleyball court and a putting green.

There is a small marketplace that will deliver to your room or the pool. You can also ask them to do grocery shopping prior to your arrival. There is a free shuttle to take you to the beach and area restaurants.

Housekeeping is daily for studios (1-bedrooms, other units get a tidy every day and full cleaning every third day). Prices vary by view and season, and views vary a lot here. Studios (500 sq. ft.) are $399–$474, 1/1 units (1,100–1,350 sq. ft.) are $549–$624, 2/2 units (1,350–1,620 sq. ft.) are $699–$774, 3/4 units (2,350–2,580 sq. ft.) are $899–$924, 4/5 penthouse units (3,664 sq. ft.) are $3,500–$5,500.

What Readers Have to Say

“As two seasoned travellers and “collectors” of travel books we just have to send our kudos to you for a wonderful book! We found ‘Oahu Revealed’ to be a concise, honest, and amazingly detailed book and are happy to say that it takes top spot in our collection! We bought your book on Oahu from the bookstore in Kailua (where we were staying for a month) on the recommendation of a staff member. I must say that we had gone in to purchase a copy of the Lonely Planet but we found ourselves in luck to have been introduced to your fine book…We are very seasoned travellers, and have numerous travel books in our collection but none as so enjoyable to use as yours.”
