A very nice hostel with bright, very clean rooms and shared spaces, including the kitchen. You can tell they really put in the extra effort. On the second floor of a historic building built in 1911 on a busy corner in downtown Hilo, so expect road noise. Free parking is across street in a lot. Lockers available for the dorms, but BYOT (bring your own towel). Dorms are $30 per person/per night, up to six people per dorm. Private rooms with fridge (approx. 200 sq. ft.) are $69 (shared bath) or $79 (private bath with towels) per night, one to two people per room. If you have a large group, they may rent you the whole place. Prices include taxes.

What Readers Have to Say

“Hi, I wanted to give you a big thanks you for helping me plan the best honeymoon ever. Kauai is the most amazing place, thanks for helping me discover many of its hidden treasures. My wife still raves about how well I planned it. Most of that came from your Kauai guidebook which is quite frankly the best guide book I have ever read. When I hear anyone planning a Hawaiian trip I always suggest they go get one of your books first. The Fodor’s book (which i bought first) on Kauai was a joke compared to yours. Kauai Revealed so better in every single aspect from the pictures to the way it was laid out and especially how you anonymously review the businesses.”
