It’s hard to find a condo in this area closer to the water. They have a crescent-shaped tower building (with elevator) and low-rise buildings that contain 1/1 units. The 2/2 units have a bedroom on the ocean side. The sound of the surf is ever-present here and will lull you to sleep. Other layouts put the bedrooms on the street side. It’s no bargain, but its proximity to the ocean and lovely grounds are hard to beat. Free coffee, tea and hot chocolate on the lawn in the mornings (except Sundays), and pupu parties once a week. Washer/dryer in some units. Many units have been upgraded nicely, so ask for one. 1/1 or 1/2 units (518–686 sq. ft.) are $294–$425, 2/2s (852–1,100 sq. ft.) are $398–$482. 4- or 7-night minimum.

What Readers Have to Say

“Please allow me to begin by praising your book, “Oahu Revealed,” for it is without question one of the best travel books I have ever seen. Your approach to the subject is novel and a much needed breath of fresh air (don’t get me wrong, I love watching the Travel Channel, but, well, you how it is). I am a former Marine who lived on Oahu for about six years…I love you book…I did not think it possible to make me love Hawaii more than I already did, but I stand corrected.”
