This is a lovely property and very serene. The grounds are well-manicured, and the setting for the pool is outstanding. Though individually owned and decorated, units are well-furnished with koa wood doors and even koa floor trim in the closets. Back in the day, the units were some of the most expensively furnished in the area, and even today most have been updated and still compete. The resort is very quiet, and they provide more personalized service than you will find elsewhere. (They will even do your grocery shopping before you arrive and stock your refrigerator.) Some units have Jacuzzi bathtubs, many overlooking the ocean. They are not on a beach, but there is a snorkeling cove nearby. Units from first agent listed have a mandatory $15 per day resort fee, but they don’t charge a cleaning fee, so things may even out. You’ll have optional access to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club (and even a shuttle back and forth), including fitness center, pool with keiki pool and restaurant for $100 per unit per week. In all, it’s expensive but worth the money if you get a deal. 1/2 units (995 sq. ft.) are $366–$850. (These actually have 2 bedrooms, but you are limited to 2 people and charged as if it were 1/2.) 2/2 units (1,390–2,060 sq. ft.) are $375–$744. 3/3 units with all bedrooms facing the ocean (2,090 sq. ft.) are $750–$975. 2- to 7-night minimum.

What Readers Have to Say

“I typically opt for a Moon publication, or perhaps a Fodors or a Frommers and they do a good job in this respect. However, I did not realize how much fun the actual reading of the book can be! You have been informative, with a great degree of specificity, and I feel well oriented to the islands. I feel prepared to know not only what to do and where to do it, but what NOT to do and where NOT to do it. But the big thing, and the reason I felt compelled to write this, is that I LAUGHED and was fully entertained throughout the reading. It was a true pleasure to read your books.”
