Though opened as timeshares in 2010, they often have vacation rentals available. These buildings sit overlooking very pretty mountains, golf course and more distant ocean views (along with some planned construction of another property). Overall, the views are best from higher floors. The units are modern and spacious with high-end appliances, granite counters and large lanais. The 2- or 3-bedroom units (all have king beds) can accommodate two or three couples nicely as each room also has a tv, and the kids can use the pull-out sofa in the living room. Bathrooms have large showers and separate tubs. The two-level pool by building C has a nice layout, but may become crowded when all the units are booked. There is a free shuttle to run you back and forth to the Kaua‘i Marriott Resort to enjoy the beach (not the pool), and you do have signing privileges at their restaurants. There is a 10 a.m. check-out, but they will store your luggage, and you may use the pool and showers before your flight. Parking is $15. 2/2 units (1,300 sq. ft.) are $509–$559. 3/3 units (1,600 sq. ft.) are $649–$739.

What Readers Have to Say

“I typically opt for a Moon publication, or perhaps a Fodors or a Frommers and they do a good job in this respect. However, I did not realize how much fun the actual reading of the book can be! You have been informative, with a great degree of specificity, and I feel well oriented to the islands. I feel prepared to know not only what to do and where to do it, but what NOT to do and where NOT to do it. But the big thing, and the reason I felt compelled to write this, is that I LAUGHED and was fully entertained throughout the reading. It was a true pleasure to read your books.”
