This gated property is made up of older townhouses and newer condos. Huge variation in rooms here, even among the condos. Buildings 1–5 have outstanding units with incredible locations. On the other hand, some of the buildings have tacky rooms. End units (not in the townhouses) have wonderful wraparound lanais. The townhouse units are older, but many have been upgraded. Some may be more weathered and get a bit buggy. Townhouses numbered 1–5 and 170–199 are on the lava coastline with commanding views. Those numbered 1–13 have access to a lightly used, grey sand beach with ancient petroglyphs and refurbished heiau, where turtles commonly rest along the shoreline. A note on the oceanfront townhomes—their lanais are pulled up against the building during high surf, closing off all the windows on the first floor and making them feel very dark and cave-like. The swimming pool is larger than most condo pools. There are several interesting archaeological sites on the grounds. Tennis is a big deal here, hence the name. 2/2 units (1,175 sq. ft.) are $75–$195, 3/2 units (1,300 sq. ft.) are $135–$195.

What Readers Have to Say

“My husband and I found it so helpful, and were able to drive around the island using the book as a guide. Everything marked Gem or Not to Be Missed was absolutely right on the money! The layout of the book afforded us a systematic method for seeing the island in the time we had allotted. The restaurant guide was helpful and we agreed with every comment and critique in the book. Thank you for this wonderful guidebook!”
