5596 rooms, pool, spa, restaurant, pooside lounge, 24-hour business center, hi-speed Internet access in rooms, free Wi-Fi in lobby. Some rooms have kitchenettes; none have lanais. A 44-story tower from 1984 with rooms renovated in 2009. Rooms are very basic but clean. The location is pretty poor—it’s only convenient when you want to leave Waikiki; otherwise, it’s a ways from the beach here—at least a 15-minute walk and a long walk to most restaurants. Business travelers will appreciate that it’s reasonably convenient if you need to walk to the convention center. The ocean views aren’t worth the up-grade—too distant. Stick with cheaper views. But the highest floors do at least have views that stretch pretty far. Avoid the 26th floor—for some reason they failed to make elevator doors there. (Weird but true.) Their pool is pretty small for a building this size, but they have a nice-sized spa. Some of the rooms are unbelievably tiny, but their 1/1s will sleep up to 6 people. Parking is $18. Rooms (190–215 sq. ft.) are $195–$209, studios with kitchenette (245–296 sq. ft.) are $235–$315, 1/1s with full kitchens (390–575 sq. ft.) are $415.
