51 rooms, free coffee makers upon request, valet parking, conference room, restaurant, free room safes, free hi-speed Internet access in rooms, free Wi-Fi in the lobby, free local calls. A 12-story tower separated from the ocean by other buildings. Most of the rooms have good Diamond Head views—hence the name. Ocean views (if you have one) are not as striking. The ambiance is minimalist Asian. The rooms are large and comfortable. They serve coffee free in the mornings and wine in the late afternoons in the lobby. Parking is $20 (valet-only). This used to be a W Hotel, then run by Castle Resorts and now Aqua Hotels. They still have down pillows (foam upon request), cordless phones, etc., the same as when it was a W. rack rates feel really high to us for a resort that’s not on the beach, has no pool and is far from the heart of Waikiki. Connecting rooms available. Try and go for 5th floor or higher, if possible. The 3rd floor rooms are level with the garage roof—not a very attractive view. Rooms (appox. 380 sq. ft.) are $450–$580, penthouse suite (1,701 sq. ft.) is $2,500. Hope you did much better.
