435 rooms, lighted tennis court, pool, sauna, hi-speed Internet access in rooms, Wi-Fi by the pool, bbqs. A 38-story 1979 building with rooms renovated in 2009. Even though the condos are individually owned, the new renovations all have the same pleasant decor. This is one of the nicer Astons, and the rooms are comfortably sized. Staff is excellent and very warm, and services are reasonably high. It’s also a nice touch that the windows, even in the bedroom, are floor to ceiling, making maximum use of whatever view the room has. End units facing Diamond Head have great views, even on relatively low floors. (But floors 25 and higher are still preferred.) They added a free hospitality room by the pool for early or late checkouts with access to showers, tv and computers. It’s not a real gem or a solid gold value, but it’s got some nice components of both. Two blocks to the beach in a relatively quiet part of Waikiki. They added a mandatory $15 “amenity” fee, which covers Internet in rooms, room safes, daily coffee, dvd rental and some other items. Parking is $15. 1/1s (560 sq. ft.) are 1/1s (515 sq. ft.) are $249–$444. 2/1s (590 sq. ft.) are $509–$722, 2/2s (1,200 sq. ft.) are $695–$1,019.
