260 rooms, pool, sauna, hi-speed Internet and Wi-Fi in rooms, Wi-Fi by pool. A 31-floor 1979 building where the units are individually owned. Most rooms were renovated in 2010, and the results are probably the best we’ve seen at an Aston property, but not all rooms have been redone (and some of those may still be in the rental pool for now). So if you don’t get a renovated room, ask for another. When all the renovations are complete, they’ll need to work on the hallways. Studios have a kitchenette and a standing-room-only lanai. Lanais on 1/1s are large, and some of the views (especially from the rooftop pool) are pretty good. Definitely go for a room higher up. They have a mandatory $15 “amenity” fee, which pays for Internet, daily coffee, rooms safes, dvd rental and some other items. Parking is $20. It’s 3 short blocks to the beach. Studios (360 sq. ft.) are $229–$315, 1/1s (443 sq. ft.) are $260–$385. If you get a good discount, you’ll be happy here.
