Jacaranda Inn

(808) 557–5068
65-1444 Kawaihae Rd.

Built in 1897 as a Parker Ranch manager’s house, it’s been converted into a charming inn. Think of it as the kind of inn that Mark Twain would have stayed at a century ago. There are 8 different rooms and a cottage, each with its own theme in purple (the color of jacaranda trees) and quaintly furnished with free Wi-Fi. Each has a private bath and entrance. Most bathrooms have double Jacuzzi tubs. The grounds and common areas have been let go in recent years. Rooms (454–665 sq. ft.) are $129–$199, 3/3 cottage with kitchen (1,695 sq. ft.) is $250–$450 for 2 up to 6 people. For sale at press time, so things may change.
