The units are smaller and aren’t as nice as Vista Waikoloa (its neighbor). The furnishings vary a lot, depending on the owner. The grounds still needed some work on this visit. You’re probably better off at Vista—anyplace else in Kohala, for that matter. Only pluses here are large, oval tubs and wraparound lanais. They added a mandatory $10 “amenity fee” that includes daily coffee, Internet, local and toll free calls, room safe and some other items. Prices are high. 1/1 units (878 sq. ft.) are $329–$419, 2/2 units (1,283 sq. ft.) are $359–$455. The 3-bedroom golf villas (1,484 sq. ft.) are $609–$755. There is limited availability on the latter. By the way, despite the name, it’s not at the shore.
