14 rooms, coffee makers with free coffee daily, free Wi-Fi, no tv or phones (except in 2/2 cottages—which are off-site), lanais on some, restaurant, centrally heated, fireplaces in some, hot tub (except at Tutu’s Cottage). Opened in 1938 as a ymca youth camp, this quaint lodge was converted in 1986 by Albert and Lorna Jeyte. (He was a make-up artist on Magnum P.I.) The whole thing is very well done and lovingly maintained. There are different styles of rooms, such as the Honeymoon Deluxe (very romantic), Hale Maluna building (snug rooms with fireplaces and incredible skylights in the bathrooms), Hale Aloha building with larger rooms and a common sitting room, and three cottages (two are off-site and have full kitchens). The grounds are lush and well-tended. The staff is top-notch. Full breakfast is included in the price of all rooms/cottages. Rooms (225–300 sq. ft.) are $170. 1/1 cottage (400 sq. ft.) is $185. is 2/2 cottages (800–1,000 sq. ft.) are $200–$220.
